Volunteer OpportunitiesMobile Kidz Clubs Every week during the spring and fall semesters, several teams take the “church on wheels” to neighborhoods, apartment complexes, and schools where they meet boys and girls on their own turf—literally “taking the gospel to the streets”. Each service is action packed with lively music, games, dramas, candy, prizes, and solid biblical teaching. Mobile Kidz Clubs provide groceries to the parents who attend the service, meeting their physical needs as well as spiritual. For more information contact Andy Taylor at 277-3396. Bus Ministry We have action packed services that bring hope and a sense of belonging, as well as the uncompromised Word of God taught in a relevant manner. Saturday mornings, buses roll into the neighborhoods of Tulsa and the surrounding areas, where boys, girls and teens are anxiously awaiting their arrival. These buses are their ticket to Victory Christian Center where they encounter the love of Jesus firsthand. Yearly Bus Ministry events include: Easter Illustrated Drama, Summer Camp School, Supply Giveaway, Thanksgiving Harvest Feast, Christmas Illustrated Sermon, Fun Fest, and Christmas Gift Giveaway. For more information regarding volunteering contact Pastor Ed Brownfield at 491-7848. L.I.T.’s (Leaders in Training) This program selects young men and women from within our Bus Ministry to be assistants to the captain of their buses. They faithfully ride the bus each week and must show leadership qualities. This is a discipleship program where these kids are mentored, held accountable and are given responsibilities both on the bus and in the Bus Ministry service. It is one of the most successful programs. Many of the kids in this program have graduated from high school, universities, and Bible school; otherwise they would have most likely fallen through the cracks. Contact Pastor Ed Brownfield at 491-7848 for more information about volunteering with the L.I.T.’s. Chosen—Urban Youth Outreach Pack 500 urban youth in a room, add some loud hip hop praise and worship, mix it all with the Word of God and you’ve got a church service like no other! Hundreds of youth arrive each week by bus for pre-service activities in the game room and snacks in the café. This innovative service equips these young men and women spiritually, enabling them to endure everyday trials and instills in them the assurance of God’s unconditional love. Chosen meets every Saturday during regular Bus Ministry services at the VBI building and at 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays at the 24.7 building. For more information about volunteering contact Pastor Rod Baker at 491-7845. Nursery/Preschool Make an eternal difference in the life of a young child!
