Nothing could be more natural then to praise someone
for doing great things or thanking someone who helped you.
For those who believe in Jesus, that kind of praise and thanks
should never stop because Jesus has done such great things
for us. His life and sacrifice mean all people everywhere can
know God and can have life everlasting. What greater thing
can anyone do? That should be enough to make you praise Him
all day long, but He did not stop there. We have been given
authority in His name (Matt. 10:7-8). We have
been given the Holy Spirit (John 14:26, Acts 10:45).
We have been given peace that is too great to understand (Phil. 4:7).
We have been given health (1 Peter 2:24). We have
been given many powerful and precious promises (2 Peter 1:4).
That is why we believe that we need to show
our gratefulness to God by giving Him our
praise, thanks, and worship whenever we have
the opportunity. Praise and worship is not
only for the people who can stay on key or have a strong
voice. It is for everyone who appreciates what God has done.
Praise and worship is lead by a worship team,
choir, & instrumentalists. If you would
like to be a part of the worship team, come
to the 3rd floor chapel at the 7700 S. Lewis
building at 7:00pm each Thursday for rehearsal.
For more information or if you would like
to be part of the orchestra, please contact

you want to be part of the worship team,
read the vision statement below:
Praise & Worship Vision
We are called to worship, not to perform. This
distinction should be understood by
all involved.
The music is designed to encourage the congregation
to participate.
We desire to establish a balance between the organization of the presentation and the flexibility of following where the Holy Spirit leads.
Submission is fundamental to the make-up
of a worship ensemble member.
Time spent with God is an understood part of ministry
preparation.
Above all, the worship ensemble should strive and pray for an anointing that will destroy yokes of bondage.
