SPEAKING THE WORD AND RESISTING THE DEVIL

In this lesson, you will learn that speaking the Word is part of the armor of God. Jesus spoke the Word of God when He was tempted by the devil. To resist the devil you must submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

B.     Speak God’s Word to activate this piece of your armor.

II.                 Jesus spoke the Word of God – Matthew 4:4-10.

A.     When Jesus encountered the devil, He spoke God’s Word and said, “It is written.”

3.      Verse 10 – “Then Jesus said to him, ‘Away with you, Satan! For it is written, “You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.”’”

B.     Jesus quoted the Word of God and so should we.
