THE INHERITANCE MAKES A
DIFFERENCE PART 4
In this lesson,
you will learn of the difference the inheritance makes and that you receive the
inheritance by faith in Jesus.
I.
The
inheritance makes a difference Romans 8:16-17.
A.
Romans
8:16-17 We are children of God, and if children, then heirs of God and joint
heirs with Christ.
B.
There
are two covenants.
1.
Old
Testament God, Abraham, and his seed.
2.
New
Testament Father and His Son Jesus.
3.
We
have a better covenant with better promises Hebrews 8:6.
C.
We
receive our inheritance by faith in Jesus.
1. We believe God, speak His Word, and act
on it. What we receive will be according to our faith.
D.
The
difference will be obvious for those who receive by faith the inheritance of
Gods blessings and those who do not.
1.
God
wants to bless us so we can be a blessing to others.
2.
The
purpose is for us to show compassion; to help others receive hope, peace, joy,
provision, confidence, love, strength, and wisdom.
II.
How
the inheritance went from generation to generation.
A.
Genesis
24:1 The Lord had blessed Abraham in all things.
B.
Genesis
26:1-6, 12-14 Isaac sowed in the time of famine, then God sent rain, the
crops grew in the land, and the power of famine was broken.
C.
Genesis
31:4-9 Jacob was blessed and prospered.
D.
Genesis
39:2-5 Joseph was successful and prospered and Gods blessing was on him.
III.
Light
versus darkness Exodus 10-11.
A.
Exodus
10:22-23 When darkness fell on the Egyptians, the children of
B.
Exodus
11:4-7 When death came to the Egyptian children, the Israelite children
lived.
C.
What
we have seen in the past we will see in the future. When we begin to see end-time
events it is not the time to have fear but it is time for the Church to become
the answer (Matthew 24).
