DREAM AGAIN

In this lesson, you will learn that your dream is your destiny, the purpose inside your heart that motivates you to live for the Lord as never before. This lesson will help you not lose your dream, get distracted, or set aside your dream even if you receive resistance and opposition.

I. The inheritance that has been given to you.

A. Romans 8:16-17 – “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs – heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”

B. You are a child of God so that qualifies you to be an heir. God bestowed upon us Himself, that is our inheritance. You are heirs to the life of God, and in His life is everything you need: peace, joy, comfort, healing, and provision.

II. How to receive your inheritance – Galatians 3:5-29.

A. Galatians 3:5 – You receive it by faith - hearing, believing, speaking, and doing the Word of God.  

B. Galatians 3:6-29 – You become a spiritual son of Abraham through faith in Christ and receive the blessings of Abraham. The inheritance does not come by the law; it comes by the promise to Abraham.

C. Deuteronomy 28:1-14 – The blessing of Abraham.

III. Joseph held on to his dream – Genesis 39-50.

A. Joseph was 17 years old when God gave him a dream of his brothers bowing down to him. It was 23 years before that dream manifested, and even though Joseph went through many trials, God prospered him, gave him favor, authority, and blessed him (Genesis 50:10).

B. Hebrews 6:12 – “Imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”

C. You can let go of your dream if you lack knowledge, forget knowledge, or neglect knowledge (Hosea 4:6).

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

• Share a dream the Lord has given you.
• Have you ever lost a dream, got distracted, or set it aside due to resistance and opposition?
• How are you daily walking in your inheritance and learning to dream again?

BE A DOER OF THE WORD

This week examine your life and see if you need to begin to dream again and hold on to your inheritance through faith and patience.
