Live in this Moment Tour

Ballet Magnificat presents Hiding Place a story of how two women (Corrie and her sister, Betsie) protect their life-long Jewish neighbors and friends by hiding them in a small room built in their wall during Nazi occupation.

Inspired by the true story of Corrie ten Boom, this story is a portrayal of divinely inspired forgiveness and hope found in Jesus Christ in the midst of desperate and unimaginable suffering.  When the Jewish family is discovered, Corrie and Betsie are transported to the concentration camp of Ravensbrück.  Amidst the painful conditions of prison life, they turn to the only unshakable—Jesus Christ, the true Hiding Place.  During their imprisonment, Betsie is brought in for interrogation and her life is taken away.  Corrie finds it difficult to continue in life after losing her dear sister and calls on her Savior to lead her.

The war ends and many years pass by.  Corrie becomes an internationally recognized advocate of forgiveness and peace.  One day Corrie comes face to face with the guard responsible for her sister's death.  Can she forgive?  With the strength of God's Holy Spirit inside her, she extends her arms to embrace her former enemy.  Because of this unimaginable act of love, the guard finds the ultimate forgiveness as she surrenders her life to Jesus Christ. The victory is hers—and it can be your as well.  Come unto Him!

"The risks of putting dance to Christian music are legion. The choreography, for example, might become nothing more than melodramatic. Turning too far the other direction might lead to the sort of artistic abstraction that garbles the text and music in the eye of the beholder. Ballet Magnificat! walks that path with stunning success. She doubtless would say her choreography is inspired by God. So be it."
