What do I do now that I am saved?
There is too much to say, but let me point you in the right direction:
- Read through the entire Bible
and pray. There is a Bible
reading plan available free on our website that
will take you through the Bible once a year. If you
don't have a copy of the Bible, you can visit www.biblegateway.com.
Reading the Bible is very important because if you
don't know what to believe, you will believe people
who do not know the truth or who want to take advantage
of you. Prayer is talking to God. Thank Him for what
you have and what He's done. Say what's on your heart.
Ask Him if He wants you to go do something or change
anything in your life. Then wait and listen.
- Find a good church near you
that believes that Jesus is the Son of God and all
who believe will be saved. Go there regularly. If
you live close to Tulsa, Oklahoma in the United States,
we invite you to come to Victory Christian Center.
Once you attend a church, be humble and find someone
who will help you learn about God.
- Make Chrisitan friends and spend time with them.
- Tell others about Jesus and
what He's done for you. You have received God’s salvation
for free. Give that same gift to anyone who will
listen. Tell your family and friends. It won’t be
easy, but it will be worth it. You are free to use
this material if you want.
If you do those four things, you will be well on your
way to following where Jesus leads you.
(2 Tim. 2:16, Heb. 10:25, Prov. 11:30)
2 Timothy 2:15
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be
ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Hebrews 10:25
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but
exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Proverbs 11:30
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise.
