Father God, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ to pray for marriages and families. We pray that those who do not know You personally will come to know You as Lord and Savior. You said a house divided against itself cannot stand. We pray for unity in marriages and families. We know this can only happen if they surrender and submit to You, Lord. We pray for husbands and wives to surrender their wills to Your will.

Strengthen the marriages of our land during this time. You said, “When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him [like a flood]” (Isaiah 59:19). We lift up Your standard against the devil in prayer. You said that whatever we bind on earth in Jesus’ name is bound in the heavenlies and whatever we loose on earth in Jesus’ name is loosed in the heavenlies. So together we, as Your people, bind the demonic spirits and their deception from God’s people and we loose people to be awakened to the Holy Spirit working God’s divine will in their lives. We bind the seduction and deception of drugs, alcohol, sexual immorality, pornography, homosexuality, gambling, abuse, and all forms of wickedness, and we loose people to awaken to righteousness and freedom to God’s restoration in their lives.

Reveal to husbands and wives the power of this covenant in marriage. Restore the values of faithfulness, caring, and commitment to marriages today. Lord, You instituted the family to be the cornerstone of society.

We pray that Christian couples and family would love each other with the love of Jesus Christ and that unsaved people would be drawn to Jesus Christ because of the love they see in Christian families. We pray that You would heal wounded hearts and restore those who need restoration, Lord.

We believe for families to make time for each other and time for You, O Lord. We believe for families to begin to see their need for time with God, through prayer, Bible reading, and church attendance. We ask You, Holy Spirit, to move in homes throughout this land with Your saving, delivering, and restoring power in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
