Cambodia Victory Outreach 2007

Cambodia is located in Southeast Asia, bordered by Thailand and Viet Nam.
Partnering with Joyce Meyer Ministries "Hope - Cambodia" - a 30 day
countrywide evangelistic outreach, Pastors Billy Joe and Sharon Daugherty
and the Victory Missions Team reached out to the city of Kampong Thom.
Traveling 100 miles up the Mekong River from the capital city of Phnom
Penh the Adult and Victory Teen Missions Teams first ministered in local
churches. They were surprised to hear wonderful praise and worship bands
playing and singing the same songs we sing, worshipping in Khmer, the
language of Cambodia.
The weeklong outreaches includes churches, schools, prisons, villages and
the nightly "Festivals of Hope." Against the backdrop of a Buddhist
Temple, thousands of Cambodians streamed onto the open field as the
praise music filled the air. As darkness fell the crowd grew and watched
the three - 30 foot screens as Pastor Sharon sang and ministered with
music videos and teaching. Pastor Billy Joe preached messages of
salvation, healing miracles and hope and the people responded en masse.
Government restrictions in the country did not allow for typical altar
calls and miracle testimonies, but the move of the Holy Spirit was not
restricted as the people openly responded with raised hands and jubilant
praise each night.
The teams went to villages each day and ministered with games, dramas,
testimonies and just loving the people. One village had never even heard
about Jesus and the entire village received salvation. With the help of
Feed the Hungry, Victory was able to bring in 1 millions meals to feed
hungry people. In the villages dozens of packages of rice meals were
opened and cooked over open fires, covered with traditional banana leaves
for extra flavoring. The adults and children alike ate large bowls of the
rice dish, then scraped leftovers into small plastic sacks or wrapped the
handfuls of rice in banana leaves to carry home.
Many other outreaches from other participating ministries from around the
world helped to accomplish the mission of "HOPE: Cambodia".
